Mercedes has been hit by yet another recall, with its A-class and Vaneo models affected by a wiper arm fault.
Mercedes is asking all Vaneo models built between April 2002 and March 2003 and A-class models built between April 2002 and April 2003 to bring their vehicles in to their local Mercedes-Benz workshop for a precautionary inspection.
“In the worst case, cracks in the recess for the plastic covers of the wiper arms can cause the wiper arms to become detached,” the company said in a statement.
Customers are being written to individually; the inspection and, if necessary, replacement of the wiper arms will be replaced free of charge.
