The retail-only cover, which went on sale from August 20, consists of three years’/54,000 miles free servicing at an authorized Fiat dealer, plus three years’ comprehensive AA cover. This is in addition to the current two year manufacturer plus one year dealer warranty, which is standard on the car.
The peace of mind package, says Fiat, underwrites its confidence in new Croma’s quality, reliability and durability, as well as adding significantly to customer reassurance.
A spokesman for Fiat tells AM: “The package will drive all servicing through the dealer network, helping them to build their relationship with the customers. It will also help create higher residuals in the long-term, as the number of used cars with full service histories increases.”
Fiat’s peace of mind package has a customer value of around £1,200. It will be offered for £199, and is also available in conjunction with a low rate PCP offer. Fiat Auto forecasts a 50% take up rate for the combined offer. It predicts 40% of total Croma sales will be to retail car buyers.
