With the deletion of the 2.0-litre petrol model, Jaguar’s X-type entry-level car is now the diesel equivalent 2.0-litre D.

To generate even higher ‘oil burner’ numbers the model is offered with a 10.9% APR, three-year subsidized PCP. This translates into a £4,999 deposit, 36 £249 payments and a final £7,634 settlement.

Buyers also get a £1,500 ‘voucher’ discount and pay a £1,250 PCP deposit contribution.
