Terry Barcham, UK marketing managing director of Snap-On Tools says: “We are actively looking for dealers, especially within the Midlands and North East. Candidates don’t necessarily have to come from an automotive background, so long as they have the right qualities.”
Each Snap-On Tools dealer is given a territory containing 300 active potential customers and has the freedom to run up to three franchises. Barcham estimates the optimum number of territories, as being clos to 500, so there will be plenty of room for expansion in the future.
The level of investment required by an applicant can be tailored to their individual needs and finance is available through Snap-On Tools. According to Max Christmas, Snap-On product manager, they are the only major UK franchisor that doesn’t charge a franchise fee.
The company’s long-standing relationship with DHL means stock can be sent direct to dealer’s houses. The delivery drivers hold keys for dealers’ garages, so they are able to not only drop stock off, but also collect returns for the warehouse.
