Despite continued rumours of a merger between Aquilo and Just Car Clinics, both dismiss them as ill-informed internet speculation.

When asked by AM to comment on the trade talk, Barry Whittles, chief executive of Just Car Clinics says: “It’s just speculation and rumours, just like with the RAC a couple of months ago. File it under B.I.N.”

Clive Nicholls, chief executive of Aquilo concurred with his view, saying: “I’m staggered at how ill-informed people on websites can be. This kind of unfounded speculation doesn’t do anybody any favours, especially listed companies.”

In January this year Aquilo acquired ABS Bodyshop Services after several months’ negotiations.
