These are the first official pictures of the new Volkswagen Polo, which is due to be unveiled at the Leipzig Motor Show at the start of April.

The car will go on sale in the UK in June.

The new Polo features new front and rear styling, including new lights, a new grille, a new 'V' shaped rear window, new colours and new wheels. The look follows latest Volkswagen design themes, as seen on the Golf, new Passat and concept C.

The range will also feature new engines.
