The Cars Direct Group, one of the UK's vehicle re-marketing specialists, has opened up its first online vehicle auction site for consumers.

Customers can log onto www.cars-direct.ltd.uk and participate in one of several weekly online auctions.

All Cars Direct vehicles, typically under three years old, are sourced from the big UK fleet, finance and leasing companies. Cars Direct said all cars featured in online auctions come with a complete description, history and with all the necessary paperwork.

Roger Woodward, managing director Cars Direct said: "We believe an increasing number of consumers will look to the internet as way of saving valuable time and money when buying their next car.

All transactions and communications are carried out via the internet. Cars are sold 'as seen' and come with the balance of the manufacturers warranty. However Cars Direct can offer the consumer refurbishing and valeting services as well as finance packages and extended vehicle warranties.
