JCT600 has opened a new ChryslerJeep dealership in Wakefield, West Yorkshire, taking on the franchise from local motor retailer Thornes, which went into administration at the beginning of November.

The concession has been moved to JCT600’s existing Wakefield site in Denby Dale Road.

The showroom, which was previously a dual Rover/Mazda franchise, had been selling off its remaining Rover stock while running the Mazda business as usual. It will now be a dual Chrysler- Jeep and Mazda.

JCT600 chief executive John Tordoff says: “Our strategy is to build a ChryslerJeep presence throughout west Yorkshire.

We plan to open a dealership in Bradford early next year, bringing our total number of ChryslerJeep outlets in the area to three. All of these will be dual-franchised with our Mazda businesses.”
