Proton has rejoined the Motability scheme, bringing the number of manufacturers represented to 25.

Through Motability, Proton Cars (UK) Ltd will be able to offer a new vehicle every three years to the 1.6 million UK residents eligible for the Higher Rate Mobility component of the Government's Disability Living Allowance, while also covering the costs of insurance, loss and damage protection, maintenance and breakdown cover.

Proton's GEN-2 will be part of this scheme along with two further Proton models which will be launched later this year.
