Mitsubishi Motors UK has continued its strong business performance posting a 3% sales increase for the month of August and a 16% increase for the year compared to 2003.

In a market that declined 4.9% on the month and only increased 1% on the year, Mitsubishi’s network of 143 dealers have attracted new customers to the brand resulting in 22,560 new vehicle sales compared to 19,532 last year.

"Mitsubishi Motors UK is going from strength to strength", says managing director, Jim Tyrrell.

"We have posted three consecutive years of growth and 2004 will be no different. The company is on-track to achieve another record year of 20% growth.

New models, such as the Colt and Grandis will contribute, but core models such as the Shogun, Shogun Sport and L200 Pick Up are all continuing to win over increasing numbers of new customers looking for well-priced, robust and reliable 4x4s."
