An online human resources training package under trial by the Jaguar Land Rover Training Academy has been shortlisted for a ‘Personnel Today’ award.

The programme, named People Solutions, has been piloted in six dealerships, prior to being rolled through the UK network of 230 Jaguar and Land Rover franchised dealerships later this year.

It’s one of four finalists in the running for the Award for Excellence in HR through Technology, against competition from BUPA, DEFRA and Shell People Services.

The outright winner will be announced on November 25 at a ceremony in London. The aim of the guide is to give advice and training to dealership managers in line with employment legislation.

Kevin Beadle, director of the academy, says: “We are confident that People Solutions will ensure our dealer networks attract, retain and motivate high quality people and are seen as an employer of choice.”
