The entire engineering team at WNS Assistance claims management specialists has been elected to membership of the Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI) in a display of competence in authorising vehicle repairs.

“Over a single month, our engineering team could authorise repairs in excess of £2.5m,” says managing director Tim Rankin. “As a result, we felt that IMI membership would provide further reassurance to our network of 150 bodyshops that every WNS engineer has the necessary experience and training to make a realistic and precise estimation of the cost of a particular repair.”

The 16 Ipswich, Suffolk-based WNS engineers have been awarded affiliate, associate or full membership, depending on their qualifications and experience.

All are committed to IMI’s Continuing Professional Development scheme, ensuring they maintain their competence.
