DaimlerChrysler UK has appointed Neil Williamson as its director of network development. He succeeds Mike Manley, who has moved to the US as vice-president of dealer operations with Chrysler Group, and will join the company’s executive management team on August 16.

Williamson will lead a team of 70 staff with responsibility for market development, market representation and training for both company-owned and franchised retailers of all of DaimlerChrysler’s passenger and commercial vehicle brands in the UK.

He joins DaimlerChrysler from Nissan Motor, where he spent the previous 10 years in a variety of roles in marketing, sales and network development.
