Mazda has launched a new special edition, the 6 Zugara. The model takes its name from the Japanese word for ‘design’ and will be priced from £19,000 on-the-road from July 1.
The 6 Zugara, powered by a 2.3-litre 164bhp petrol engine, comes with new 18-inch alloys, modified suspension, a six-disc CD auto-changer and also comes with a seven speaker BOSE audio system, plus a part-leather/part-cloth interior. The optional extras include the SmartNav global positioning system.
Mazda is releasing 500 of the limited edition models, with 300 available in a five-door hatchback body shape at £19,000 and 200 estate cars costing £20,000 each. The 6 Zugara will be available in three colours: Velocity Red, Titanium Grey or Black Mica.
All the usual safety features are fitted as standard to the Mazda 6 Zugara with six airbags, including driver and front passenger dual stage smart airbags, front seat side airbags and full-length front and rear curtain airbags. The car is also equipped with anti-lock brakes with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD).
The car returns 31.0mpg on the combined cycle. It achieves 0-62mph in 9.0 seconds and has a top speed of 131mph.
