HR Owen has opened the UK’s second Lamborghini dealership, following a £700,000 investment. Based in Stockport’s Town Hall Square, it is trading as Lamborg-hini Manchester and has a seven-car showroom.

The company also owns the other dealership, in London, having bought the assets of Lamborghini UK from AFN in July 2000. Dominic Lancaster, general manager of both dealerships, says that to date the London outlet has delivered 70 Murcielagos and 100 Gallardos. The UK accounts for about 10% of worldwide sales of the marque, and alongside Japan is the third biggest market after the USA and Germany.

“Lamborghini Manchester will allow us to deliver increased numbers of cars as well as service,” says Lancaster.

The 6.2-litre V12-engined Murcielago retails from £168,000. The 5.2-litre V10 Gallardo model is priced from £117,000.
