A European manufacturer has developed a new range of performance brake discs to increase stopping power and help reduce accidents.

Rossini has created the specially multi-drilled and grooved discs that allow the unit to cool down quickly. Grooves in the disc reduce brake pad glazing and keep brake dust and moisture at bay.

Titanium in the disc provides extra strength and durability to stop warping – the main cause of brake judder. Rossini claims the new discs, which cost £100 a pair, can improve stopping distance by up to 40%.

Government research has found that one-in-three of all serious accidents are caused by drivers not being able to stop in time. “Speed and stopping distance are the most critical factors in reducing the number of deaths on the UK roads”, says the Parliamentary advisor for road safety.
