Benfield Motor Group, the Yorkshire-based retailer, is to invest £2m relocating its Toyota dealership in Wakefield. The outlet will move from its current home on Leeds Road to new premises on the Silkwood Park business site later this year.

The business will benefit from increased capacity and improved facilities as well as creating an ultra-modern showroom, conforming to the Toyota Retail Programme, plus service and bodywork departments. Clive Pick, general sales manager at Benfield Toyota, says that the move will enable the company to build on recent successes.

Benfield Motor Group has five Ford dealerships in Yorkshire, including two in Leeds. The £240m turnover group (AM100: No 27) also has outlets in Newcastle, Carlisle and Edinburgh, and holds franchises for Nissan, Renault, VW, Lexus, Skoda, Alfa Romeo and Fiat.
