HR Owen is to open a second Lamborghini dealership. It will be built on HR Owen's former Jaguar dealership site in Stockport.

The group was awarded the Lamborghini franchise in the UK in 1999, and has an outlet in London. The new site is due to open by early summer this year. Both sites will account for about 10% of the Italian manufacturer's production this year. Last year HR Owen sold 1,300 units and is looking to increase this in 2004. It already has more than 100 advanced orders for the Gallardo, which will be delivered from its London showroom.

“Lamborghini's market share has grown significantly in the UK and worldwide, while the relatively low volumes produced assures its exclusivity,” says Dominic Lancaster, general manager of Lamborghini London.
