Three of the best young vehicle technicians in the UK have been honoured by retail motor sector trainer ReMIT at its Learner Awards Ceremony for 2004. One learner from each of ReMIT's three year-groups was chosen as pre-eminent in his or her year.
The winners were:
- First Year: Howyin Mok, employer: Harwoods Land Rover, Coulsdon, Surrey - Second Year: Kenneth Anderson, employer: ERF Strathclyde - Third Year: Chris Hughes, employer: Dennis Cooper Cars, Leamington Spa
The event was held at the Heritage Motor Centre in Gaydon, Warwickshire on 18 February 2004. ReMIT, the largest technical training provider to the motor industry in the UK, is the training subsidiary of the Retail Motor Industry Federation (RMI), and organises Foundation and Advanced Modern Apprenticeships. 8,000 young people work towards their qualifications with ReMIT on courses lasting up to three years.
