The Glass's solution aims to eliminates much of the administration involved in phone and fax parts ordering systems by intercepting the bodyshop's initial communication to the vehicle insurer, identifying the parts required for a repair. With the bodyshop's prior approval, the system sends these details electronically to SEL-Imperial who then issue a price and order application to the bodyshop - automatically and instantaneously. The bodyshop is then free to confirm the order of the individual part(s) through SEL-Imperial, or can continue with normal manual processes for ordering from an alternative source.
Glass's will be working with other leading parts suppliers over the coming months to broaden the availability of non-OE parts from additional sources via the new solution.
