Prodrive has been recognised as one of Europe's fastest growing companies in the 2004 'Europe's 500' listing.

The British motor sport and automotive technology business was ranked 66 out of 500 entrepreneurial-driven companies which have seen sustained growth in both employees and turnover since 2000. It was also the highest ranked automotive business.

In 2000, Prodrive employed 450 staff on one site with a turnover of £57 million. In 2004, the company has more than doubled its turnover to £125 million and employs more than 900 staff in the UK, USA, Far East and Australia.

In motor sport, Prodrive runs the Subaru World Rally Team, manages the BAR Formula One Team, and has recently launched Aston Martin Racing. Prodrive also runs the Ford Performance Racing team in the Australian V8 Supercar series.

Europe's 500, created by Growth Plus and published by Europe's Entrepreneurs for Growth, is the only independent pan-European listing of high growth, job creating companies. The annual listing is endorsed by Microsoft, PricewaterhouseCoopers and Business Week.
