The Automotive Academy is asking colleges and universities to help drive skill levels forward in the automotive industry.

The academy has planned a day to meet the key people involved in skills enhancement for the automotive industry, both from colleges and the private training providers. The aim is to form a triple alliance to ensure firms in the automotive sector have access to the very best training available.

Alan Begg, chief executive of the Automotive Academy, says: "We need a strong united approach to give our vital industry world-class training that can make companies more efficient and competitive."

The ‘Meet the Academy’ event will take place on October 20 at Jaguar’s Visitor Centre in Castle Bromwich. It is free to delegates and lunch will be provided.
