Tyre fast fit chain ATS Euromaster has successfully rolled out a pilot web-based system which will allow staff at each of its 530 UK service centres to receive work authorisations from fleet managers within seconds of electronically requesting them.
All the staff at the centre need do is upload the registration number of the vehicle, prompting the system to automatically check the fleet customer’s policy for the type of work and agreed pre-spend levels prior to issuing either an authorisation code or advising of a need to refer to the ATS Euromaster Customer Service Centre.
"Where the customer is technology enabled, we can provide on-line links to our system enabling the most transparent view of all aspects of their fleet’s maintenance," said Nick Gregg, managing director of ATS Euromaster, which provides vehicle maintenance services to more than 50,000 companies in the UK.
