Dealer group Reg Vardy has set its sights firmly on the fleet market with the launch of a new corporate sales department – Vardy Group Fleet. Sales target is 15,000 vehicles in its first year.

The company will complement, but be independent of, the Group's contract hire and leasing division, Vardy Contract Motoring.

The new business will be headed by former Arriva fleet head David Jewell.

The move forms part of a refocusing of Vardy's overall sales strategy. The company aims to target daily rental, bodyshop and courtesy car market, contract hire companies, insurance company total loss replacements and outright purchase customers.
