BMW is looking to build another plant for Mini production to add to the Oxford site in order to meet demand, according to Spanish media reports.

The news was leaked at this week's Spanish launch of the Toyota diesel-engined Mini variant.

Oxford produced 144,000 Minis One, Cooper and Cooper S this year. Production there is to be lifted to 180,000 units.
