North West motor retail group Smith Knight Fay has acquired the Bury VW Centre from Walker Farrimond.

The group already operates Volkswagen franchises at Hyde, Stockport, Bolton and Oldham.

And the Group has bought the Stockport Bodywork Centre business from F. Lindsay.

John Harris, Smith Knight Fay's Managing Director, explains, “The purchase of Bury Volkswagen Centre was a natural extension of our retail operations.

“But the acquisition of another accident repair facility was vital, because our existing bodywork facility in Audenshaw is working to full capacity and, until now, it has meant many jobs have had to be placed with outside sub-contractors.” No prices for the acquisitions were released.
