Even though Ford's Ka has been on sale for over six years, it's still hard to believe it looks so modern. It's a fun-to-drive alternative to the Fiat Seicento, Daewoo Matiz and Hyundai Amica.
Prices for early models are now very reasonable: a 97P Ka with 50,000 miles makes as little as £3k. More desirable are the better equipped Ka2 models, with power steering and central locking. A 37,000-mile 97P example is about £4k at an independent. Range-topping Ka3 models add alloys, air conditioning and leather-trimmed steering wheel. Around £5k buys a 30,000-mile 99V. Be wary of tatty fleet/company models lacking regular service history.
