Malaysian carmaker Proton is to start selling cars at the Silverstone motor racing circuit in Northamptonshire.
The sales facility for the Satria GTi, featuring Lotus ride and handling, and other models will support the Proton Racing Experience, which is expected to provide up to 30,000 drivers with race tuition this year.
Proton Racing Experience, launched last week at the Autosport International Show at Birmingham NEC, will use a fleet of Satria GTis to give enthusiasts a taste of driving around the F1 track. Octagon Motorsports will run the programme.
