Mitsubishi Motors Corporation has announced the appointment of Stefan Jacoby, a senior executive at Volkswagen AG, as president & CEO of Mitsubishi Motors Europe, effective October 1, 2001.

MMC is currently implementing a 'turnaround plan' throughout the MMC group. Under the plan, MMC is aiming to return its European operations to break even in the 2003 fiscal year.
