Auto Trader has formed a partnership with Skynet, the global tracking service, in a promotional deal worth £200,000, which goes live from September 20.

Skynet is to provide 200 of the latest anti-theft tracking devices, together with free six-month trial and free installation, as competition prizes. These devices use military satellites and mobile phone technology to track vehicles within meter accuracy.

The deal comes shortly after it was revealed that drivers could save upto 20% off their insurance by installing the Skynet tracking unit. This system comes with a hands free phone link direct to the tracking station.

The promotion will be available through Auto Trader and other TMG titles, including Boats and Yachts, Buy a Boat, Truck Trader, Farmer Trader and Caravan Trader. September 19, 2001)
