Cap Gemini Ernst & Young has been named Automotive Consultancy Company of the Year 2001 by the Institute of Transport Management (ITM).

The inaugural award, following two years' research by the ITM's automotive committee, was for the company's ability to work globally on complex and challenging assignments. The committee singled out the innovative work of Cap Gemini Ernst & Young in areas such as the automotive supply chain to reduce costs and time.

Lance Doughty, Cap Gemini Ernst & Young's UK automotive practice director, said: “We are delighted that our work in the automotive industry has been recognised by the ITM.”
