Five Volkswagen dealers have been given fleet distinction awards in recogition of their performance in the fleet market.

The accolades have gone to Verve Wishaw in Strathclyde, Testwood Motors, Southampton, Sloane of Edinburgh, HWM in Walton-on-Thames, Surrey, Surrey and Corkills of Wigan.

The Fleet Distinction Retailer Awards - introduced this year - recognise the achievements of fleet sales executives and managers at Volkswagen retailers.

Verve Wishaw won the award in recognition of its fleet department restructuring and "massive" improvement in overall performance. Testwood Motors and Sloan of Edinburgh won for similar reasons. Neil Brook-Jones at HWM was rewarded for taking the business from "strength to strength". At Corkills of Wigan, fleet sales executive Steve Quayle was recognised for building the fleet business from scratch.
