Two new insurance products, aimed at Chrysler and Jeep drivers, have been launched by debis, DaimlerChrysler's financial services arm.

One, Chrysler Jeep Insurance, offers fully comprehensive cover. The other, Chrysler Jeep Vehicle Replacement Insurance (VRI), is designed to protect customers against depreciation should their vehicle be declared a total loss following an accident or theft.

Under a VRI policy, the difference between the insurance payout figure and the original invoice or current price would be made to the dealer where the customer purchased the vehicle. This, says debis, would allow the customer to purchase a replacement or choose an alternative model with the minimum of delay.

Chrysler Jeep Insurance is described as a fully featured, competitive package, managed and administered by DaimlerChrysler Services Insurance Solutions' customer call centre.
