Seven leading UK automotive training and development specialists have joined forces in a bid to raise standards in the retail motor industry.

Companies collaborating in Automotive Training Partners will provide training in all the main sectors of car sales.

Call freephone 0808 100 2605 at Emap Automotive for a brochure detailing the partners' specialities and contact details.

Automotive Management is to play a key role in the campaign designed to make it easier for dealer groups to obtain training which meets their specific needs. Sewells Information & Research and AutoTrade, associated titles of AM in the retail motor industry publishing division of Emap Automotive, will also play a part in promoting the aims of the alliance.

Tony Willard, Automotive Management editor, said: “Too often, training can be sidelined because of the pressures of the day in motor dealerships.

“This initiative has been geared so that busy executives at franchised or independent dealerships can make a single call to obtain specialist training for staff.”

Automotive Training Partners are: BTC (new and used car sales), People First Europe (business, fleet and commercial vehicle sales), Cyber Car (internet selling), Capital Bank Motor (finance and insurance), Aftersales First (aftersales), Automotive Business College (management) and Lawgistics (trading standards, consumer and employment law).

ATP's aim is to improve and sustain the productivity and success of the companies they serve by raising professionalism, knowledge and skill of their staff.
