Covisint, the global, independent e-business exchange, developed by five of the world's leading automotive manufacturers, has appointed Kevin English as president and chief executive.

Mr English was formally the managing director and chief executive officer, e-commerce for Credit Suisse First Boston.

Covisint was developed by DaimlerChrysler, Ford, General Motors, Nissan, Renault, Commerce One and Oracle to provide the automotive industry with leading collaborative product development, procurement and supply chain tools to reduce costs and increase efficiencies.
