Manheim OnLine, the interactive auction service from Manheim Europe, has announced record sales for the first two months of the year.

The car remarketing service for manufacturers, finance companies and fleet vendors achieved a 19% sales increase on its most successful period in 2000.

More than 3,500 professional buyers have registered to use the service at www.manheimeurope.com since its launch in January 2000.

Jonathan Holland, director of Manheim Interactive Services, said: "Motor dealers are really now beginning to realise the commercial advantages of trading with Manheim OnLine.

"But it is not just sales volumes that are exceeding all expectations, but the speed and efficiency of the service, which allows registered users to search, view and buy vehicles at the touch of a button."

Manheim OnLine has previously secured an agreement with DaimlerChrysler for the online remarketing of Mercedes-Benz used cars, using Manheim OnLine's fixed price stock locator, Cyberlot.
