Jaguar has been awarded a National Training Award.

Jaguar trained 37 long-term unemployed people as process workers, each gaining NVQ passes and full-time jobs working on the X-Type production line at Halewood.

Phil Round, Jaguar's education and training manager, said: “This is a tremendous achievement for everyone involved. All the trainees came with personal and financial problems, brought about by lengthy benefit dependency. We knew we had a winner when, at the completion of the first programme, all of the candidates secured employment contracts.”
