BMW has improved the warranty cover for all Minis registered from November 1. The 60,000 mileage limit on the three year warranty has been upgraded to unlimited mileage over the same period.

In addition to the three year unlimited mileage warranty, the paint warranty has been extended from 12 to 24 months.

Trevor Houghton-Berry, general manager for Mini UK, said: "This news is a reflection of our confidence in the Oxford-built Mini. British owners can feel rest-assured that however many miles they rack-up, Mini will take care of them."

The unlimited mileage cover is in addition to the Mini 'tlc' package. Costing £100 this is a unique five year/50,000 mile service package that covers all scheduled servicing including parts and labour. It is also transferable to a new owner if the car is sold on within the five year period.
