Leading collision repair equipment manufacturers Car-O-Liner and Josam have been acquired by venture capitalists 3i Group and Euroventures for an undisclosed amount.

The acquisition, from Zeteco Alignment Systems, is expected to give the two companies renewed focus. Car-O-Liner and Josam already have links with 3i through their former parent.

Charlie Busby, who remains as Car-O-Liner managing director, said: “The new structure gives us an owner who will support our ambition to continue to develop our company and our worldwide trade.”

Jens Hansson, Euroventures investment manager, said: “The collaboration between Euroventures and 3i will mean the corporation gaining industrially oriented and financially secure owners.”
