Visscher Communications claims a new outsourcing product will save companies time, hassle and money when adding new vans to their fleet.
According to the Milton Keynes-based fleet services group – part of Visscher Caravelle – Van Solutions allows fleet managers to be freed from sourcing, purchasing and installing van accessories.
Visscher group managing director Martyn Nash said the idea came from problems customers experienced when specifying a non-standard van.
Visscher Communications sources accessories from suppliers and arranges for them to be fitted to the vehicles at the supplying dealer anywhere in the country.
Visscher has identified three key markets for the product: contract hire and leasing companies, dealer groups that sell a number of vehicles to fleets and big companies that buy and run their own vans.
Van Solutions covers all makes and models of van on the market from a Peugeot 206 van to a long wheelbase high roof Mercedes Sprinter. Accessories range from a plywood lining kit to a rotating roof beacon.
It is launched after a nine-month pilot involving more than 1,000 vans from three major leasing companies.
