Inchcape Group has appointed Richard Mackay, former Chrysler Jeep Imports UK managing director, as the head of its Ferrari business from May.

##232Mackay--right## He assumes responsibility in the role of managing director for raising sales in the UK - now Ferrari's third largest market after the US and Germany - and will also oversee the Middle East and Belgium.

Mackay replaces Stuart Robinson, who leaves Inchcape after 15 years to take an unspecified “senior” role within Ferrari.

##Murphy(1)--left##Other appointments in the industry include Jim Tyrrell becoming Mitsubishi Motors UK managing director, while Alain Favey takes over as managing director at Citroen UK. Tyrrell, formerly Mazda Motors European marketing director, replaces Denis Murphy (left), who was temporarily appointed a year ago to drive Mitsubishi's restructuring programme.

The RMI has appointed Alan Hines as chief executive, replacing acting chief executive David Evans from May 2. Evans becomes deputy chief executive and company secretary with responsibility for European affairs.

Hines was managing director of Securicor Vehicle Management. Len Clayton has been appointed chief executive officer of Interleasing UK (formerly Arriva Automotive Solutions). He also takes executive responsibility for Master Lease, GMAC's European vehicle leasing operation. Nick Brownrigg becomes Interleasing managing director.
