The Dixon Motor Group is to expand its bodyshop chain of branded Car Clinics this year to meet growing demand from its insurance contracts.

The company has started work on a 14,000 sq. ft. site at Mansfield, Notts, plans to extend the existing bodyshops at Bradford and Bury to 20,000sq. ft and is also opening a Car Clinic in Lincoln.

Other proposals for later this year include a new site in the York/Harrogate area, a potential second site for Manchester and a move into Derby. Barry Whittles, operations manager of the Car Clinic division, said the business plan targeted four sites every year for the next few years as part of the company's organic growth.
