Peugeot is preparing a pan-European buyback scheme for its new 607 as it targets the fleet market with promises of strong fleet residual values.

The flagship model, due for UK launch in September, will benefit from “several initiatives” to help protect residual values, said a Peugeot UK spokesman. He said more details would be available nearer the launch date.

Under the fleet buyback programme, franchised dealers in several countries, including the UK, will receive financial support from Peugeot each time they repurchase a 607.
