More than 1,000 dealers have signed up to the 24-hour online car buying facility Cyberlot, according to Manheim Auctions.
The company reports that many dealers are opting to buy vehicles outside office hours, with three-year-old cars proving just as popular as nearly new vehicles.
Jonathan Holland, Manheim On-Line director, believed the quality of vehicle descriptions and digital photography has given dealers the confidence to buy older vehicles on the internet.
“The majority of our sales have come in the evening or at weekends, proving the efficacy of a round-the-clock service,” he added.
