Audatex is launching the first phase of its internet strategy through a web-based estimating system www.audatex.co.uk.

It enables insurers and accident managers to receive Audatex estimates from non-approved as well as approved repairers in the usual format.

According to Audatex, web-based estimating represents a major opportunity for repairers though not all have internet access.

Its ISP service is intended to extend the benefits of web-based estimating to the whole industry.

Bodyshops subscribing to audanet.com will have internet access and be able to create their own websites and e-mail addresses.

Alex Leonard, Audatex managing director, said: “Repairers are under tremendous pressure to drive down costs and we are committed to making the Audatex estimate accessible to a wider audience. We will be able to reach every bodyshop at every geographical location.”

The new Audatex system is based on AudaWorkstation and in-built help screens.
