Ideally candidates will have a proven track record of business development and sales, a technical aptitude and an interest in engineering. Any experience in the construction sector will be helpful but not essential
Our client is a well established innovative company based in Oxfordshire They are a UK subsidiary of two international manufacturing companies with high quality brands and global reputation supplying the construction industry.
Job Summary **
You will be working within the construction and engineering industry to identify and develop existing and new business opportunities. Working as part of a highly motivated and integrated team of sales and technical staff who utilise commercial and technical skills to promote engineered products and solutions to a range of customers.
Also required will be the occasional requirement for overnight or international travel.

Achievement of sales targets and development of new business
Generation of enquiries
Identification of customers and sales decision influencers
Successful promotion of technical product features and company services
Identification of opportunities for new product applications
Business retention
Essential**
Excellent communication and sales skills
Excellent planning and organisation skills
Technical aptitude and interest in engineering
Driving licence
Key Tasks**
Generate the customer sales necessary to achieve or exceed annual sales targets in designated sales region
Develop and maintain long-term relationships with key customers and designers to achieve maximum understanding of their requirements and sales potential
Use ethical and well-founded commercial and technical arguments to persuade clients that a company product or proposal best satisfies their needs in terms of performance, quality, price and delivery
Negotiate contract terms and conditions to meet both client and company needs
Make accurate and timely cost estimates and provide quotations to customers
Identify new sales opportunities, new customers and new product applications
Review & communicate changes with customer situations, market and competitors
Develop and deliver presentations to prospective customers and engineering designers
Support company marketing activities by attending trade shows, conferences and other marketing events
Liaise with the internal sales/technical teams to check the progress of orders, proposals and enquiries
Attend team meetings and support colleagues
Regularly review own sales performance and ask for help or training when required
In the fulfilling the above tasks it is expected that 80% of working time is to be spent visiting potential customers, projects and designers. 20% Home or Office based.
Remuneration Package**
Basic 30,000 with flexible Car Allowance
25 days paid holiday plus Bank Holidays
Option to join private health scheme after one year of continual employment
