A former Mercedes-Benz marketing executive has joined independent used car dealer group Big Cars.
Its new head of marketing is Julie Wallman, who has joined the business after 14 years with Mercedes-Benz Retail Group.
Until recently, Wallman was group marketing manager at the £1.5bn turnover manufacturer-owned franchised dealer group, and headed the team behind its successful pop-up shops at Westfield Stratford and Birmingham Bull Ring shopping centres.
At Big Cars, Wallman will oversee all marketing and social media activity, and is tasked with keeping the business innovative and efficient.
“I am passionate about delivering effective and innovative marketing campaigns that make a real difference to the bottom line which has resulted in consistent progression and promotion.
“My approach to marketing is as an element of a wider business strategy, ensuring that activity is fully integrated into every part of the organisation,” said Wallman on LinkedIn.
Big Cars was launched in 2008 by former BMW sales executive Adam Stott, and has grown rapidly since, with online sales and three dealerships in Essex and Surrey.
