Award-winning car dealer Waylands raised its game from an already high bar

It is an incredible sixth consecutive win of the Best Dealer Group of the Year (up to 10 sites) award by MG, Kia, Polestar and Volvo dealer group Waylands Automotive.

The AM Awards judges noted that it continues to raise its game from an already high bar.

Throughout 2023, under the leadership of chief executive John O'Hanlon and finance director James Smullen, Waylands remained committed to investing in various areas to enhance operations, particularly through internal improvements.

A significant focus was placed on digitalising reporting processes to streamline sales procedures, resulting in a 23% reduction in administrative time spent on deal files.

Piloting a new stock management system allowed it to enhance efficiency in vehicle preparation and visibility, and improved stock turn, leading to the entire group now aiming for 27% volume growth in 2024.
