Nissan has launched a special edition Primera, the Activ, following hot on the heels of the Almera special with the same name.
The Primera Activ 1.6 five door is priced £12,995, the 1.8 at £13,495, which in price terms sees it come between the E and S.
The Activ gets a unique-for-Nissan chrome mesh grille, 15-inch five-spoke alloys and full colour-coding for the body, including side sill extensions only normally found on the Primera Sport. There are also chrome door handles, chrome kick plates, grey-backed instrument dials and a new upholstery design.
Over the E, the Activ (pictured below) also gets electric heated and body coloured mirrors, front fog lamps, three-point rear centre seatbelt and headrest and ice condition warning.
Nissan says that the extra kit is worth £1,400, yet the 1.6 Activ costs just an extra £395 over the E variant. For the 1.8 Activ the cost is down £455 on the previous entry level with S trim.
