Review
Honda is promising thrills aplenty with the launch of a 1.8i VTEC Sport addition to the Accord range in March.
The Sport is designed to satisfy demand for a well-specified, cost-effective alternative to the 'full-on' 212PS experience of the 140mph Type-R. The Sport comes with 16-inch alloys, body-coloured side sills and a rear spoiler.
It will be available in four and five-door guises and priced at £15,495 and £15,645 respectively.
In addition to the exterior styling features, drivers will also enjoy a sports interior. Titanium-look inserts and door handles, white Type-R style dials, a red-stitched four spoke leather steering wheel and alloy gear knob are all standard. A unique-fit CD-tuner completes the package.
The Sport is powered by the 1.8 136PS SOHC VTEC with a top speed of 127mph and 0-62mph spring in 10.9 seconds. The Sport is available in manual only.
